Hollow Shift is the creation of Alex Zamparas and Jessica Bell, an Athens-based electronic duo whose creative partnership first began during their time together in the influential dream-pop project Keep Shelly in Athens. Born from Alex’s concept to explore a darker, more rhythm-driven sonic world, Hollow Shift merges THE shadowy atmosphere OF DARK WAVE with post-punk tension and late-night electronic pulse.
Alex Zamparas, an Athenian multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, AND Formerly the guitarist for Keep Shelly in Athens, has also been a leading member of the acclaimed indie-electronic acts Expert Medicine and Fever Kids, both central to Athens’ evolving underground sound. His brooding synth work, textured production, and driving rhythms form the backbone of Hollow Shift’s aesthetic. Jessica Bell, an Australian-born, Athens-based singer-songwriter STARTED COLLABORATING WITH ALEX as the lead vocalist and co-songwriter for MONGOA in 2020, and HOLLOW SHIFT IN 2025. Her evocative, emotionally charged vocal presence and cinematic lyrical approach bring melodic depth and atmosphere to Hollow Shift’s sound. Together, Alex Zamparas and Jessica Bell shape music where movement becomes introspection — an immersive fusion of darkwave, post-punk, and emotionally rich electronica. |
